TDY

Last week I was TDY for the start of a leadership development course. I don't have too many pictures of the actual course, because who really wants to see pictures of generals and colonels giving briefings. But trust me the schedule was jam packed. We rushed everywhere. Some of the pictures I took were just so that I could look at them later and see where I was that day. It was a great experience, I learned a ton, saw some great things, ate a lot of Hawaiian beef, and met some wonderful people.


Sorry, no pictures of Elizabeth in this post. She was with Grandma. And it might be a while before we get some good ones to post, my camera broke on the trip. :(

Someone walking in front of me got a glimpse of this. All I had time to was snap a few photos and keep on walking.

All the pictures below we taken with the iPhone, the real camera broke the first morning there. I was grumpy about it but there wasn't much I could do.

The is the spot on the USS Missouri where Japan surrendered. I took a picture because I did not have time to stop and look at it while I was there. But if you ever go, ask for Doc to be your tour guide, he was great!

We had some free time on the last day so we went snorkeling in this bay for about an hour.

My Mom is in town to help with Elizabeth this week. So she got to come to Emma's with us for the baby Easter party. There were two set of twins, and two other babies, not counting Emma and Elizabeth. None of the babies were on time because of their naps, and they were a little cranky but there were some great moments. Erica threw a lovely gathering, as always. If we can't be home for holidays, it's great to have such good friends around.

Nothing too exciting going on here this week, except that my Mom is here to watch Elizabeth while I'm away next week. Elizabeth has already broken lots of rules and did not make it to day care on Friday. She knows she's got it good now.

Today we went to Another Broken Egg for breakfast, and did some shopping. Tomorrow we're off to Emma's for an Easter Egg hunt. I'll post pictures as soon as I get the energy.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth Jane!

It's Elizabeth's birthday, April fools day, and it's crazy hat day at the CDC to kick off the month of the military child. That's a big day for one little girl. Unfortunately, Elizabeth got a trip to the doctor and an ear infection for her birthday. She'll take a re-do and save the celebrating for later.

The skirt and shirt in this picture are part of the present she opened from Grandma Savage the other day.
